Product Overview

Citroen C4 Cactus facelift is an affordable compact crossover in production from 2018 to 2020. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 1.6 liters.
Just like the pre-facelift, the facelifted C4 Cactus is an ugly car with few redeeming qualities. It has poor build quality and lethargic, frail drivetrain options paired to a rudimentary suspension setup.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Citroen C4 Cactus is hardly the "offroader" that Citroen would like you to think. The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.

External Reviews

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Citroen C4 Cactus represents a return to the past for the French manufacturer. It's relaxing to drive and, although it doesn't handle quite as sharply as some other family hatchbacks, it's still fun to hustle down a country road. The three-cylinder engines provide more punch than their power outputs might suggest, too.
Pros
  • Fun to drive
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • No automatic gearbox
  • Alternatives are more fun to drive

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The new Citroen C4 Cactus is available to order now, and deliveries in the UK are set to take place from April 2018. It's priced between £17,265 and £20,895, and is available in Feel and Flair editions. The dashboard is dominated by digital speedo (without revcounter) and a central screen. That touchscreen is as annoying as ever, controlling everything from the sat-nav to the climate control – at least CarPlay works well, so you can voice control most things.
Pros
  • Light, airy family-sized hatchback
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of refinement
