Product Overview

Renault Scenic Mk4 is an affordable subcompact minivan in production from 2016 to 2022. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 1.7 liters.
Compared to previous Scenics, the Mk4 has little material changes. It has slightly smaller engines that are not better in any way notable to the consumer. More plastic and electronic gizmos have been introduced.

External Reviews

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Renault Scenic trades on having a unique look. There are hints of SUV in the Scenic's appearance, while the large wheels give it a concept car look. The interior is solidly built in the main, too, with plenty of the latest tech to keep driver and passengers happy. Prices start from around £23,000, and rise to a modest £28,000.
Pros
  • Cheap to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
  • Decent range of engines
Cons
  • Not as spacious as the Scenic
  • Alternatives offer more space

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
Renault's latest family face has been grafted onto a practical people carrier template rather successfully. There are fewer clever storage spaces than a Citroen C4 Picasso, but there are some appealing details, including a big storage bin between the (exceptionally comfortable) front seats. There's plenty of space, with endless adjustment for the seats in both rows, while a huge glass roof makes the cabin feel incredibly airy.
Pros
  • Superb looks
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not the fastest
