Product Overview

Peugeot 508 SW Mk2 (chassis code R83) is a mid-size station wagon in production from 2018. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.5 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the original 508 SW, the Mk2 has a more modern exterior styling and more refined interior.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Peugeot 508 SW II uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 55% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
No more spacious than the saloon for front-row passengers. Soft-touch materials cover most surfaces, and you have to go hunting for scratchier ones. Leather seats may have been given the nod by German comfort campaigners Aktion Gesunder Rücken, but they place you slightly higher than you’d expect. Rear passengers will appreciate the increased head room, though with the underlying platform unchanged, there’s no extra leg room to be found.
Pros
  • Powerful petrol engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lacklustre ride quality
  • No adaptive dampers

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
Just like the 508 Saloon, it feels plush enough to be a proper flagship for the brand. UK prices and specs have not yet been finalised, but we're told it'll command around a £1,600 premium over the saloon. Up front, a sharply designed dashboard and centre console are home to a crystal-clear 10-inch HD touchscreen underpinned by Peugeot's smart-looking and familiar ‘piano key' style switchgear.
Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent standard equipment
Cons
  • Not the most practical
