Product Overview

Volkswagen Polo 6 facelift is an affordable subcompact hatchback in production from 2021. It is available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift, the most notable change is that VW discontinued diesel engines in Polo completely. This is a remarkable departure from the old VW.
In other respects, this facelift brought some cosmetic updates that some may consider too busy.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
VW has revised the trim levels with more kit fitted as standard. Not counting the GTI, there are just three: Life, Style and R-Line. The cheapest Polo, costing £17,885, is now a Life with a 79bhp naturally aspirated 1.0-litre. But really you want at least the 94bhp turbocharged version costing £18,825.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment tech
Cons
  • Dull interior
  • Lack of standard tech

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Polo is more like the Golf than ever before. A subtle exterior styling makeover includes new matrix-LED headlights as standard on this mid-spec Style model. The 1.0 TSI 95 engine is a known quantity, offering 94bhp. It does have a torquey mid-range, with 175Nm on offer, which promotes a more relaxed driving style.
Pros
  • Fun to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
  • Good range
Cons
  • No five-speed transmission
