Product Overview

Jaguar XE X760 is a compact executive sedan in production from 2015. It is available with a range of inline-4, V6, and V8 engines that displaced 2.0 to 5.0 liters.
Just like the X260 XF and the X351 XJ, the XE is extremely bland in styling. Without the badges, it can be taken for any car. Build quality is subpar and the engines have shrunk, even though the badging inflates the numbers.
Jaguar has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.26 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Jaguar XE (X760) comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.
The only interesting version is the SV Project 8, which is limited to just 300 vehicles.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 94% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
With springs that are four and a half times stiffer than those fitted to a conventional XE, the ride is, of course, tight and firm. Despite the clanging firmness of those springs, there’s enough compliance and bump absorption to deal with most road surfaces. There is good turn-in grip and very stable, consistent cornering grip. Traction is very strong, too, thanks to the intelligent four-wheel drive system.
Pros
  • Powerful twin-turbo V8 engine
  • Fantastic handling
Cons
  • Not the most fun to drive
  • Not the fastest on the road

Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The XE was an instant hit for Jaguar when it arrived in 2015. An update in 2019 helped it to maintain its position near the front of the executive car field. There are three engines available – two petrols and one diesel. Prices for the XE start at just over £34,000, while the highest-spec cars break the £40k barrier.
Pros
  • Fantastic all-rounder
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of standard equipment

Reviewers from cnet have found:
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a canyon-carver that never lets you down when driven hard. The all-wheel drive system isn't so overprotective that it won't let the rear end step out when provoked. Jaguar's InControl Touch Pro system is as hit-or-miss here as it is in any other Jaguar.
Pros
  • Gorgeous, all-wheel drive performance
  • Fantastic powertrain
  • Impressive handling
Cons
  • Lackluster cabin
  • Lacklustre infotainment system
