Product Overview

Panasonic H-X09 Leica DG Summilux 9mm F1.7 ASPH is an ultra wide-angle prime lens for Micro Four Thirds-mount. It covers the MFT image circle. Introduced by Panasonic in 2022, it has 12 elements in 9 groups.
The bright maximum aperture for an ultra wide-angle lens is appreciated for night and astro photography. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization. For incremental weathers, Panasonic is kind enough to include weather sealing.
Like everything that carries the "Leica" name, this is a premium lens with a price to match. Some may find that an equivalent full-frame lens provides better results, but such is Leica tax.
