Product Overview

Porsche 911 997.1 Targa is a mid-size targa sports car in production from 2006 to 2008, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of flat-6 engines that displaced 3.6 to 3.8 liters. Both manual and automatic transmissions were made available.
Unfortunately, the 997.1 Targa is just like the 996 Targa in that it is more akin to a coupe with a sliding panoramic roof. It is less attractive than both the coupe and the cabriolet but doesn't provide the real open-top driving experience.
A positive is the improvement in engine reliability compared to the 996 generation.
