Product Overview

Audi S5 (chassis code F5) is the performance variant of the Mk2 Audi A5 mid-size coupe in production from 2016 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of V6 engines that displaced 3.0 liters.
Interestingly, the S5 debuted with a 3.0 TFSI engine that Audi decided to discontinue in Europe when the nonsensical Euro 6d hit. In the rest of the world, the S5 continued to use the 3.0 TFSI, but in Europe this engine was replaced by a 3.0 TDI.
Unsurprisingly, this generation got incredibly complicated to comply with EU's ridiculous emission and fuel economy regulations. Lighter internals and thinner oils are also used with tighter clearances: a side effect is that Audi managed to squeeze out more power, at the expense of a much shorter designed service life.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi S5 comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners.
