Product Overview

Volkswagen Scirocco 3 is a compact hatchback in production from 2008 to 2017. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.4 to 2.0 liters.
Based on the Mk5 VW Golf, the Mk3 Scirocco is a more stylish 3-door variant. It uses numerous tunes of roughly three engines, none of which known for durability. While the manual is quite stout, the DSGs are problematic.
The vehicle received a minor facelift in 2014, with the main change being slight bump in engine output and the rollout of Euro6-compliance.

External Reviews

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 45% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Scirocco has few rivals as a cross between a hatchback and a coupe. Diesels are the most frugal, but petrol engines aren't thirsty unless driven hard. The DSG box works brilliantly, as does the six-speed manual. Bluetooth can be awkward to set up, with some phones almost impossible to pair.
Pros
  • Stylish looks
  • Good standard equipment
Cons
  • Cheap to drive
  • Lack of practicality
