Product Overview

Audi Q5 (Typ 8R) is a compact crossover in production from 2008 to 2012, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.2 liters.
Introduced in a period of VW's low point in terms of reliability, the Q5 used a range of engines and transmissions with a lackluster reliability record. The only relatively good engines are the diesels; however, the widely-used S tronic DCTs are far from durable and costly to service.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Audi Q5 is hardly the "offroader" that Audi would like you to think.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi Q5 I comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.
