Product Overview

Volkswagen Touareg (Typ 7L) is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV in production from 2002 to 2006, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-5, V6, V8, V10, W12 engines that displaced 2.5 to 6.0 liters.
One of the most outrageous vehicle ever sold by VW, the Touareg came at the peak of VAG's confidence. It featured such legendary engines as the 5.0L V10 TDI and the 6.0L W12 petrol. An Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission was used, even though lots of VAG products used the unreliable unit from ZF. All this meant that the original Touareg was an icon.
