Product Overview

Hyundai i30 III Fastback (chassis code PD) is a compact sedan in production from 2017 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 2.0 liters.
The first sedan to wear the i30 badge, the i30 Fastback is essentially the same vehicle as the hatchback, though with a small trunk attached to the rear. In its class, the i30 Fastback represents one of the more reliable and better-built options.

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The 2.0-litre turbo four makes plenty of power and torque, and endows a performance level that’s as great as you’d want most of the time. There will be no 247bhp entry-level version of the Fastback N (apparently less than two per cent of UK customers wanted an i30 N hatchback in non-Performance Packaged form) The upper-level 271bhp version will be priced at a fiver less than £30,000.
Pros
  • Powerful turbo four
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent handling
Cons
  • Not the best engine
  • Not the most fun to drive
