Product Overview

Volkswagen New Beetle (typ 1C NA / 9C ROW) facelift is an affordable compact hatchback in production from 2005 to 2010. It was available with a range of inline-4 and inline-5 engines that displaced 1.4 to 2.5 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the facelifted New Beetle lost the VR5 and VR6 engines, though Volkswagen added a 2.5L 150PS inline-5 in its place. This vehicle continued to be plagued by mechanical issues, including problems related to the DSG transmission.
Owners may find that at speed the vehicle consumes a lot more than the numbers indicate, thanks to a disappointing 0.38 coefficient of drag to show for it.
