Product Overview

Audi RS 3 Sportback (Typ 8VA) facelift is the high-performance version of the 8VA A3 Sportback compact hatchback in production from 2017 to 2020. It was powered by a inline-5 petrol engine that displaced 2.5 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, Audi boosted the output of the RS 3 and gave it a revised exterior design. While some may find the extra bling distracting, the vehicle became more imposing and is one of the more interesting cars that Audi sold during the period.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Audi RS 3 Sportback uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
Off-the-line performance is pulsating, and the 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder noise reverberates around the cabin while pulling so strongly up to the 7,000rpm redline. Accessing the performance is made easier with the arrival of a new RS button on the steering wheel. Top speed is limited to 155mph - upped to 174mph on request. Ceramic front brakes are an expensive optional extra, but they only really make sense on track, where few RS Q3s will venture.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not as fun as it once was
  • Lacklustre transmission
