Product Overview

Mazda 2 / Demio Mk3 (chassis code DJ) is an affordable subcompact hatchback in production from 2014 to 2019. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.3 to 1.5 liters.
Compared to the Mk2 Mazda 2, the Mk3 received a significant improvement in styling as well as fit and finish, to the point that one could compare it with offerings from more established Japanese brands such as Honda and even Toyota. Part of this could be attributable to the fact that Mazda has formed a partnership with Toyota.
The range of engines are fuel efficient but underpowered. Unfortunately, the vehicle remains an economy car with many engineering decisions that reflect this fact.
Mazda has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it. Another plus is the small 9.4m (30.8ft) turning circle.
