Product Overview

Skoda Fabia 3 (chassis code NJ) is an affordable subcompact hatchback in production from 2014 to 2021. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 1.4 liters.
Compared to the Mk2 Fabia, the NJ Fabia largely retains the exterior of its predecessor, which shows that little budget was "wasted" on the vehicle's design. Based on VAG's A06 platform, it is essentially a cheapened Mk5 VW Polo and is equal to the Mk4 SEAT Ibiza.
The only two notable positives of this vehicle are its low fuel consumption and small 10.4m (34.1ft) turning circle.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 53% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
It sits on a comparatively older platform than the Polo and Ibiza. A comfort-biased set-up is present here, and that's evident in the way in which the Fabia goes about dealing with choppier sections of road. Its 330-litre boot is still a useful size, but the Polo outdoes it by 21 litres, while the Ibiza offers an additional 25.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent on-road manners
Cons
  • Pricier than rivals
  • Lack of standard equipment

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 46% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Skoda easily has the measure of the MG3 with its seats up, but if you fold them down, the tables are turned. Neither car's back seats fold down fully flat and most owners are likely to use these superminis in five-seat form, when the Fabia is more practical. The MG hasn't done enough to elevate its supermini to the summit of this ultra-competitive class.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment
  • Good standard equipment
Cons
  • Poor fuel economy
  • High CO2 emissions

carmagazine[3]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
Skoda Fabia now has to compete against VW Polo, Seat Ibiza and Audi A1. All versions are front-wheel drive and have 999cc three-cylinder petrol engines. There are five-and six-speed manuals and a seven-speed paddleshift auto. The rear seats fold flat to increase luggage capacity from 530 to 1395 litres.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent standard equipment
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • No hybrid option
  • No front-wheel drive
