Product Overview

Mini Hatch R56 is a subcompact hatchback in production from 2006 to 2014. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.6 to 2.0 liters.
Design-wise, it is difficult to tell the R56 Mini Hatch from the R50/R53 model that preceded it. Mechanically, BMW put a range of poorly-designed, unreliable engines in the vehicle, topped by Peugeot's DV6 diesel and BMW's N47 diesel. Unfortunately, they are part of the reason this generation of Mini Hatch, discontinued less than a decade ago, have all but disappeared from the road.
