Product Overview

Mini Countryman F60 is a subcompact crossover in production from 2017 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.5 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the R60 Countryman, the Mk2 model has a much more coherent design that is no longer as ugly. More importantly, BMW switched out the horrible engines for its more reliable B-series engines, especially the B48 and B47 I4 units.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Mini Countryman F60 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The MINI Countryman is a clear winner here, because it's better than the DS in nearly every way. It's more fun to drive yet more comfortable, the interior has a higher-quality feel and is easier to use. Its boot capacity is 450 litres with the rear seats up and 1,390 litres when they're down, putting it 100 litres and 340 litres ahead of the DS Crossback's figures respectively.
Pros
  • Well equipped
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • Not as practical as DS
  • Small boot

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 35% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
Every single Countryman variant is now badged 'Cooper', reinforcing the suspicion that – as Ford's Zetec moniker quickly metamorphosed from peppy, Yamaha-enhanced powerplant to mere specification grade. Fit and finish is generally of a high standard, but the overtly My Little Pony-quality plastics of the driver's instrument binnacle really let the side down. The speedometer is so woefully illegible that the optional Head-up display will become a must for most.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Fantastic standard equipment
Cons
  • Lacklustre ride
  • Poor infotainment
