Product Overview

Audi Q3 (Typ 8U) is a subcompact crossover in production from 2012 to 2014, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.4 to 2.0 liters.
Unfortunately, the Mk1 Q3 is rather ugly. I signaled that VAG was doubling down on the crossover form factor by jacking up its Polo subcompact hatchback and throwing on it ugly black plastics. Many have been fooled.
On the positive side, Audi has been so generous as to endow the Q3 with independent suspensions all around, even though the corresponding VW Polo didn't have this privilege.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind, however, that the Audi Q3 (8U) uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
