Product Overview

Citroen C5 Estate (chassis code DE) is an affordable large station wagon in production from 2001 to 2004, whereupon it received a facelift . It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 1.7 to 2.9 liters.
Compared to other French estate cars of the period, the Citroen C5 was not in any way an exception: It was half-heartedly designed with poor powertrain and a horrible chassis. The vehicle, while sold at an affordable price, was never meant for any driving pleasure: it was a torture device on wheels.
The one positive is that Citroen at least put a V6 in it, though that particular engine has since proven to be problematic with premature cam wear issues.
