Product Overview

Opel Insignia B Sports Tourer (chassis code Z18) is a large station wagon in production from 2017. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.5 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the Insignia A, the Gen2 Sports Tourer is even more handsome. It is superior to the B8 Volkswagen Passat Variant in styling, and in many ways one could make the argument that it is even better than the B9 Audi A4 Avant.
Mechanically, the argument over VW Passat may indeed have some merits, seeing that VW has been cutting the costs of construction for the Passat with lower-grade suspension setups. Still, the Insignia B is a step below the A4, largely due to its use of MacPherson front suspension and its weaker AWD offering.
GM also sold this car as Vauxhall Insignia, Buick Regal, and Holden Commodore in various markets.
