Product Overview

Audi A4 allroad quattro B9 (Typ 8W) is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2016 to 2019, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
This generation of A4 Avant (and indeed the corresponding A6 Avant) got a major styling upgrade. This applies to the allroad quattro version, too, even though again the "offroad-ification" did a number on the allroad.
Also to note is that the prominent grille on the newer Audis is further amplified (or rather "enlarged") here.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the A4 allroad quattro comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.
Audi introduced a new nomenclature during the model run without changing the vehicle.

  • Doesn't really go offroad
  • "Offroadiness" contributes to unreliability in the chassis and suspension
