Product Overview

Audi A4 Avant B8 (Typ 8K) is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2008 to 2011, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of V6 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.8 to 3.2 liters.
Styling-wise, the B8 A4 Avant was a notable leap from its B6/B7 predecessors, though the pre-facelift version seemed not to have sorted the design out fully.
In this generation, Audi continued to use the "Multitronic" CVT transmission for FWD models, while the quattro AWD models used either 6- or 8-speed automatics from ZF.
The petrol-engine lineup was by this point completely direct-injected. Some engines fare better than earlier FSI engines, though Volkswagen's FSI reliability issue is a lingering one that remains to this day.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi A4 Avant B8 comes with multi-link suspensions all around for comfort.
