Product Overview

Audi A6 Avant C7 (Typ 4G) is an executive station wagon in production from 2011 to 2014, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of V6 and inline-4 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
On a positive note, Audi greatly improved the exterior styling of the vehicle and made efforts to improve powertrain reliability. This generation of FSI engines are not as problematic as earlier ones found in the C6 A6 Avant.
However, the FWD models still used CVT (marketed as "Multitronic") as the automatic gearbox. The quattro AWD models adopted DCT (marketed as S-tronic), though in this generation the DCT doesn't have the same level of reliability as the previous ZF 6HP automatic found in the C6 A6 Avant.
The V8 was unfortunately (or fortunately, since the FSI one was rather unreliable) discontinued.
Audi has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.26 coefficient of drag to show for it. The C7 A6 Avant continues to use multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.
