Product Overview

Opel Astra J (chassis code P10) Sedan is an affordable compact sedan in production from 2012 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 2.0 liters. GM also marketed the Opel Astra J as Vauxhall Astra J and Holden Astra J, among others, in various global markets.
As usual with a global vehicle customized to local markets, the Astra J had numerous different configurations and small styling changes.
Unfortunately, the Astra remained a vehicle for the budget-conscious with no interest in automobiles. With this market segment in mind, GM engineered the Astra to look fine but with low-cost powertrain and suspension setup. Notably, the car had a solid rear axle, one of the last cars in the world to do so.
