Hyundai Sonata 5 (chassis code NF) facelift is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 2008 to 2009. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.3 liters.
Outside, Hyundai updated the design of the Gen5 Sonata, making it less obvious an Accord imitation even though the traces are still there in abundance. The more important changes are the introduction of new drivetrain options.
Chassis and suspension-wise, the vehicle continued to use MacPherson struts, which does not provide great handling or comfort but reflects the car's price point.
