Product Overview
Audi RS 6 C6 (Typ 4F) is a high-performance executive sports sedan in production from 2008 to 2010. It was available with a single bi-turbo V10 engine that displaced 5.0 liters.
This V10 TFSI engine is based on the 5.2L V10 found in the C6 S6 and the D3 S8. With the help of the two turbos, the C6 RS 6 was able to put out 579PS of power and 650Nm of torque, higher than both the M5 and E63 AMG (which had naturally-aspirated V10 and V8 respectively) could manage. The RS 6 was also the only one to come with AWD (which arguably isn't needed or wanted in the BMW and the Merc as they have RWD).
Power is sent to the four wheels via a ZF 6HP28A 6-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, manual transmission was not offered (and indeed no RS 6 ever did offer a manual transmission).
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the C6 RS 6 comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.
