Product Overview

Kia Optima / K5 (code JF) is a large sedan in production from 2015 to 2020. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.6 to 2.4 liters.
The Gen4 Optima was an evolution from the Gen3 model design-wise. The more notable update was in the addition of 7-speed double-clutch transmissions (DCTs) paired to turbocharged I4s.
Kia has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.25 coefficient of drag to show for it. The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality. The Optima IV also comes with a high towing capacity.
Kia also added a PHEV to the powertrain options.
