Sigma's 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary captures crisp images with a shallow depth of field. Focus is available as close as 19.7 inches (50cm), good enough for 1:7.4 life-size magnification at its closest focus distance. The lens shows a modest -0.9EV drop at the corners of the frame relative to the center.
