Sigma 500mm F4 DG OS HSM | Sport is a professional super telephoto prime lens for Canon EF-mount, Nikon F-mount, and Sigma SA-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sigma in 2016, it has 16 elements in 11 groups.
Like most zoom lenses, the Sigma 500mm F4 DG OS HSM Sport is externally-zooming. For incremental weathers, Sigma is kind enough to include weather sealing.
As a super telephoto prime lens, the 500mm F4 DG OS HSM is a specialty instrument best suited for professional sports and wild-life photographers. Built-in image stabilization is almost a must-have at this focal range, and this lens does not disappoint on this front. Owners will also like the available tripod collar.
Some photographers may be disappointed by the fact that the lens does not accept front screw-on filters.
