Product Overview

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm F1.8 is a medium telephoto prime lens for Micro Four Thirds-mount. It covers the MFT image circle. Introduced by Olympus in 2012, it has 10 elements in 9 groups.
Unfortunately, Olympus has opted to omit weather sealing for this lens, so owners should pay extra attention when shooting in incremental weathers.
A telephoto prime lens, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm F1.8 is well suited for portrait photography.

cameralabs[1]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
This delivers telephoto coverage equivalent to 150mm with a bright f1.8 focal ratio that makes it ideal for serious portrait work, along with picking out finer details in landscapes and urban environments. Despite the robust construction it’s not splash or dust proof; owners of Panasonic bodies should also know that like all Olympus lenses there’ll have to shoot at sufficiently fast shutter speeds or on a tripod to avoid shake.
Pros
  • High quality, metal-bodied prime lenses
  • Excellent telephoto coverage equivalent to 150mm with a bright f1.8 focal ratio
Cons
  • No optical stabilization
  • High price tag
  • Not splash or dust proof

Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from dpreview have found:
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm F1.8 is a great lens for portraiture. The 75mm is expected to sell for more than twice the price of the 45mm. With its 150mm-equivalent field of view it's a little bit longer than the traditional 85-135mm range.
Pros
  • F1.8 maximum aperture
  • Good image quality
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • Not suitable for portraiture
