Pentax HD Pentax-DA 645 28-45mm F4.5ED AW SR is an ultra wide-angle prime lens for the Pentax 645AF2 bayonet. It covers the 645 medium format image circle. Introduced by Pentax in 2014, it has 17 elements in 12 groups.
Photographers will be pleased by the fact that the lens is internally-zooming, meaning that the barrel does not extend when the focal length is changed. This helps balance and weather sealing; it is also great for long-term durability, as there is less chance for moisture and dirt to get in. For incremental weathers, Pentax is kind enough to include weather sealing.
As an ultra wide-angle prime lens that happens to have relatively small maximum aperture, it is best suited for landscape photography. The built-in image stabilization can be useful for some handheld video work, though one should pay special attention to the corners, which may actually be worse off with the stabilization turned on.
