Product Overview

Fujifilm XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR is a standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X-mount. It covers the APS-C image circle. Introduced by Fujifilm in 2015, it has 17 elements in 12 groups.
Like most zoom lenses, the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR is externally-zooming. For incremental weathers, Fujifilm is kind enough to include weather sealing. On the lens barrel, one can find a physical aperture ring. Those who wish to focus manually can have the best of both worlds (with the usual caveats).
A standard zoom lens with relatively bright maximum aperture, the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR can be a key piece in a photographer's arsenal, though some may prefer prime lenses in this focal range.

cameralabs[1]

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
Fujifilm's XF 16-55mm f2.8 is a high-purpose general-purpose zoom for X-mount bodies. It delivers a constant 24-83mm focal ratio and an unashamedly high-end lens aimed at pros. It's a shame there's no optical stabilisation, but the performance could still swing-it for many.
Pros
  • Excellent image quality
  • 24mm coverage
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • No stabilization
  • No 24mm coverage
