Product Overview
LG 34WN650 UltraWide is a mid-range 34-inch ultra-wide monitor from 2020 (LG's "N" model year). It has similar features compared to the smaller 29WN600 but is larger and comes with an ergonomic stand. It can be considered the successor to the 34WL600 or 34BL650 from 2019, though there is little separating the three.
Like the aforementioned predecessors, the 34WN650 uses an 8-bit IPS panel with 99% sRGB coverage. It also refreshes at up to 75Hz, with FreeSync support. The classic LG UltraWide 21:9 aspect ratio is used, too.
What differs the 34WN650 is really in backlighting: It has a brighter maximum brightness and, as a result, supports not only HDR10 but also VESA DisplayHDR 400.
Last but not least, the 34WN650 comes with a stand that includes not only tilt but also height adjustment.
For those who do not need HDR, however, the 34WL600 may be a better option that retails at a lower price. Those who want better colors, on the other hand, may go for more premium models in the UW lineup, notably the 34WN80C.
