Product Overview

LG 34WL550 UltraWide is a variant of the 34WL500, which is a 34-inch ultra-wide monitor powered by an UW-FHD IPS panel. It stands out by adding a height-adjustable stand, though the main display unit is identical to the 34WL500.

As such, it also omits the built-in stereo speakers. The 34WL550 features a solid IPS panel with close to full coverage of the sRGB color space. It supports FreeSync (though its refresh rate and response time performances are mediocre) as well as HDR 10.

At the same time, the 34WL550 is far from a premium monitor. Its I/O options are limited, and its display quality is good, but certainly not impressive. Overall, it is a great option for home computing, especially considering its low discounted price today: As a 2019 model, it has since been replaced by more recent monitors with incremental updates.
