Fujifilm XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR is a large-aperture prime lens for Fuji's X-mount APS-C system. With a 35mm equivalent focal length, the XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR is a new versatile option for street and general photography.
Like the XF33mmF1.4 R LM WR unveiled at the same time, this lens has a relatively complex optical construction that comprises 15 elements in 10 groups: nonetheless, the optical designs of the two are rather different. Fujifilm designed it to perform at a high level from wide open with an emphasis on controls of aberrations, though the XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR is able to focus closer, offering a more useful 0.2x maximum magnification.
The XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR uses a linear focusing motor (hence the LM) that helps it achieve fast and accurate focusing up to the challenges of modern, fast-pacing shooting many mirrorless cameras are capable of. It is weather-sealed.
This lens joins the XF23mmF1.4R and XF23mmF2 R WR as part of the 35mm-equivalent options for X-mount.
