Product Overview

The facelifted 3rd-gen BMW X3 (G01) is a compact, two-row crossover. This mid-cycle refresh includes a range of cosmetic changes and technology upgrades, and some of its engines have slightly different outputs in order to comply with the new Euro 6d standard.
Some of the key exterior changes include the new BMW kidney grille and flatter headlights, while BMW Laser Light is also available. The front and rear bumpers are also tweaked, if nothing else, to distinguish the vehicle from the pre-facelift model.
As has been the case with BMWs in the last decade, the X3 pairs its various turbocharged petrol and diesel engines with the ZF 8HP automatic transmission. All-wheel drive (xDrive) is standard on all vehicles.
Inside, all petrol engines now use 48V starter-generator in a mild hybrid format. The interior has been revamped, with a free-standing 10.25" Control Display being the main user interface for the infotainment system. A 12.3" option is available as an upgrade, too. Modern driver assist techs are also available.
The facelifted X3 G01 is unveiled alongside the facelifted X4 G02.

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The iX3 is a big car and the driver and front passenger will have no problem finding a comfortable position. Headroom is decent, while rear occupants benefit from plenty of legroom. BMW’s digital dials look a little fussy, but have plenty of customisation for the driver, including positioning the mapping between the speedometer and power reserve gauge. The combustion-engined BMW X3 has a 550-litre boot, while the plug-in hybrid model has a reduced 450- litre load capacity. The all-electriciX3 sits between the two, offering 510 litres of load space.
