Product Overview

Samsung Odyssey G7 G28AG70 is a flat 28-inch 4K IPS gaming monitor in Samsung's Odyssey series of premium gaming monitors. It joins the 27" and 32" curved models unveiled in 2020 and is currently the flagship flat gaming monitor in the company's lineup.
Unlike the curved monitors, the G28AG70 features an 10-bit IPS panel in lieu of the QLED-lit VA one. This actually gives the 28-incher a slightly worse color gamut, and inherent to IPS panels the brightness and contrast are marginally worse, too. On the other hand, the G28AG70 has a much higher resolution, and we can expect IPS panels to handle off-axis color accuracy better.
Like other Odyssey-branded Samsung gaming monitors, the G28AG70 offers high refresh rate, low input lag, and G-SYNC + FreeSync compatibility. It comes with an Eye Saver Mode and is flicker-free.
Alongside the new 28" G7, Samsung also introduced a flat monitor in the G5 series and expanded the Odyssey lineup with a new G3 series, which at its debut has two models.
