Product Overview

Nikon NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 is a standard macro lens with autofocus. Unlike the MC 105mm f/2.8 unveiled at the same time, this lens can only stop down to a moderate f/22 aperture, though it retains the 1:1 maximum magnification.
As usual with 50mm macro lenses, the MC 50mm f/2.8 does not leave much room for the photographer to operate, as the minimum focusing distance is just 16cm from the focal plane. This usually limits the type of subjects (inactive) for which the lens is appropriate.
The upside, meanwhile, is the compactness of this lens, which makes carrying it around all day easy. Its natural 50mm focal length also makes this lens a versatile choice.
This lens also comes with a focus limiter as well as an AF-MF switch. Its large focus ring makes manual focus / adjustment more instinctive.
