Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD

Product Overview
Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is an APS-C ultra-wide angle zoom lens that covers the full-frame-equivalent focal range of 16.5~30mm with a constant f/2.8 aperture. It complements the 17-70mm F/2.8 released in late 2020 as a compact two-lens kit. Code name B060, it is designed for Sony E-mount.
Tamron touts this lens as the world's first f/2.8 ultra-wide zoom for Sony APS-C system. This is noteworthy because APS-C cameras, due to their smaller sensor size, have narrower angle of view at each given focal length, though conversely it is also easier to design a wide-angle lens that covers a smaller image circle.
Designed to be versatile, the 11-20mm F/2.8 is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry on a camera throughout the day. Tamron has endowed this lens with its latest RXD linear motor for fast autofocus, even though at this focal range an APS-C lens is easy to focus anyway: this ensures swift, silent AF performance.
