Lenovo Yoga C740 14
2-in-1Product Gallery
Product Overview
Lenovo Yoga C740-14IML is a mid-range 14-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptop. Compared to the 15.6-inch model released at the same time, the C740 14 loses a single USB port but is virtually identical otherwise.
Slotted below the C940, the C740 loses the "Rotating Sound Bar" and discrete graphics while marginally thicker; nevertheless, the C740 14 is a versatile device in a compact package. Like the 15.6-inch model, the C740 features low-powered 10th-gen Intel Core processors that are miserly on the battery, prolonging the battery life to up to 13.6 hours. Its sleek aluminum casing is available in two colors, with color-matched keyboard and touchpad.
The 14-inch model is available with a single FHD IPS touchscreen option with Dolby Vision support.

External Reviews
cnet[1]
Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Lenovo Yoga C740 is available in 14- and 15.6-inch sizes. It falls in the middle of the current Yoga two-in-one convertible lineup with the C940 above and 13.3-inch C640 below. The C740 has a comfortable keyboard with two levels of backlighting.
Pros
- Great performance for the money
- Comfortable keyboard
- Good battery life
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3
- No pen included
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)When compared to the pricier Yoga C940-14, some physical features had to be cut in order to reach a lower price. The hinges, for example, no longer house speakers and they even feel slightly weaker this around. The keyboard here is closer to a cheaper IdeaPad offering than on a renowed ThinkPad.
Pros
- High-quality aluminum chassis
- Good battery life
- Good keyboard and touchpad performance
Cons
- Lackluster battery life
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Lenovo Yoga C740 has a quad-core, eight-thread, 1.6GHz (4.2GHz turbo) processor. It's got ample power for spreadsheets, not enough for juggling workstation-sized datasets. Its screen is as good as any mainstream-laptop 1080p panel I've seen.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Solid performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- No SD card slot
- No Thunderbolt 3 port
