Product Overview
HP ENVY 14 (14t-eb000) is a new 14-inch laptop powered by 11th-gen Intel Core Tiger Lake i5 or i7 processors. Following the new trend in 2021, it welcomes back the 16:10, WUXGA (a.k.a. FHD+) display that allows it to offer a significant bump in workspace in roughly the same size as the ENVY 13 of the same generation.
The new ENVY 14 continues to popularize WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5 wireless connectivity across HP's current lineup. While Intel Xe integrated graphics is standard, the 14t-eb000 ENVY 14 can be configured with discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics.
Naturally, the WUXGA display uses an IPS panel. Matte finish is standard, while the touch-enabled option is encased behind an edge-to-edge glass cover.
Alongside the ENVY 14, HP and other major manufacturers introduces a number of other compelling options at CES 2021.

digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac), rivaling Dell's XPS 13 and only slightly falling behind Apple's latest Magic Keyboard on its MacBook line. The touchpad is a Microsoft Precision version, of course, and so it's responsive and precise. There's also an equally responsive touch display, and I appreciated it during my testing. A fingerprint reader provides windows 10 Hello support on the keyboard and replaces the right control button.
Pros
- Great performance
- Excellent keyboard and touchpad
- Solid build quality
- Good battery life
Cons
- Display is subpar
- Mediocre graphics
laptopmag[2]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Envy 14 is toting around an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU with 4GB of VRAM. At Ultra, 1080p settings, it managed to hit 23 frames per second of the Assassin's Creed Odyssey benchmark. It lasted 9 hours and 51 minutes on the Laptop Mag battery test, just short of the 10:08 premium laptop average.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Strong performance
- Decent speakers
Cons
- Lagging battery life
- No Thunderbolt 3
ndtv[3]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Envy 14 has a comfortable keyboard and a large glass trackpad. Despite its compactness, it feels a bit heavy at a little over 1.5kg. The built-in webcam is decent if you have good light around, but footage gets very grainy in low light. It delivers battery life that's enough to last most work days on a one charge.
Pros
- Comfortable keyboard
- Bright and sharp display
- Good battery life
Cons
- Middling performance
- Poor webcam
notebookcheck[4]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Envy 14 strikes a great balance between the portability of a 14-inch subnotebook and the high performance of a 15.6-inch multimedia laptop. Runtimes are excellent at almost 11 hours of real-world WLAN use. Power consumption doesn't dip when running extreme processing loads. Owners should expect louder fan noise and warmer temperatures than most subnotebooks.
Pros
- Sleek, compact design
- Strong performance for a 14-inch subnotebook
- Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
- Good battery life
Cons
- High CPU Turbo Boost sustainability
- No SD card reader
pcmag[5]
Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Envy 14 is a stylish, desirable laptop. It's no workstation, but it'll handle your biggest spreadsheet with no sweat. The ZenBook trailed the 11th Gen silicon of the MSI, Acer, and Lenovo. The Asus was an underachiever, while the HP's quad-core processor acquitted itself.
Pros
- Sleek, stylish design
- Solid performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3 port
techradar[6]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Envy 14 feels very much like a professional laptop suitable for the office. There's a significant power plant crammed inside, with enough speedy RAM, Optane-assisted storage and processor muscle to make it feel snappy and smooth whatever you throw at it. The screen is glassy and reflective, which looks beautiful but makes it a poor choice if you're stationed near a window.
Pros
- Superb performance
- Excellent keyboard and trackpad
- Decent battery life
Cons
- Display could be brighter
