Product Overview

MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR is a flagship 34-inch ultra-wide 1000R-curved gaming monitor. An evolution of the Optix MAG342CQR from the previous model year, the Artymis 343CQR offers extreme 1000R curvature as well as faster 165Hz refresh rate.
Using again a VA panel, the 343CQR does not compromise in color gamut or response time, though a lower contrast is supported as a tradeoff.
Like other premium gaming monitors in MSI's MPG series, the Artymis 343CQR offers extensive RGB lighting. It also comes with a USB-C hub that was missing from the MAG models.
Compared to the traditional 16:9 panel, the 21:9 panel widens the screen so that gamers can enjoy a more immersive experience. The widescreen will also allow gamers to multitask with several windows when needed.

The 32-inch MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR gaming monitor has a resolution of 3440 x 1440 (UWQHD), 3,000:1 contrast ratio, a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, 1ms response time and 550nits peak brightness. OSD menus are really easy to navigate and there's also the Gaming OSD app for Windows which makes it even simpler. The 1000R curvature is supposed to fit the natural curve of the human eye so that you can see the entire screen without any fatigue.

    Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
The MPG Artymis 343CQR has AMD FreeSync clocked to 165Hz. It works perfectly with Nvidia graphics cards despite a lack of official G-Sync certification and it performed well in our tests. The underlying panel is a VA display with 10-bit colour and a 1ms response time, which is a good specification for high-end gaming. MSI combines the superb contrast with great colour accuracy.
    Pros
    • Superb image quality
    • Impressive contrast ratio
    • Superb colour accuracy
    Cons
    • No G-Sync certification

    Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The MSI MPG Artymis 343CQR is as curvy as a gaming monitor gets today. At 1000R, the monitor's image is sharp and contrast-y enough to overshadow any horizontal line curvature. Brightness is reasonable with the highest levels reserved only for small highlights.
    Pros
    • High contrast for HDR content
    • HDR and FreeSync support
    • Good color accuracy
    Cons
    • No gamma control
    • Loud background noise

    Pros
    • Fantastic image quality
