Product Overview

Fujifilm XF27mmF2.8 R WR is an ultra-compact prime lens for Fuji's APS-C X-mount system. It offers a 35mm full-frame equivalent focal length of 41mm while measuring just over 1 inch long.
The thinnest and lightest lens in the XF lens lineup, the XF27mmF2.8 offers superior portability and is a great option for street photography and general photography.
An autofocus lens, the XF27mmF2.8 nonetheless comes with an aperture ring that offers a tactile feel that Fuji's X-series cameras are known for.

The Fujifilm XF 27mm f2.8 R WR is a compact ‘pancake’ prime lens. It delivers roughly 40mm equivalent coverage for a natural standard field-of-view. It’s an updated version of the 2013 model, now with weather sealing and an aperture ring. It costs $399 or 419 GBP and is available as kit lens option for the X-E4.
Pros
  • Compact size
  • Weather sealing and weather-sealing
Cons
  • No manual focusing ring
  • No aperture ring

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Fujifilm's XF 27mm F2.8 R WR adds an aperture ring, a must-have for many X system owners. It's a sensible kit option for the slim X-E4, and a lightweight, all-weather add-on for the X-Pro3 and X-T4. It drives quickly, but you'll note some back-and-forth stutter and noise.
Pros
  • Lightweight, compact design
  • Dust and splash protection
  • Automatic focus
  • Lightweight and compact
Cons
  • Slight flare at f/2.8
