Product Overview

The 2021 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503 is a high-end 15.6-inch gaming laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU and NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU. Sharing its design and the 16:9 form factor with the 2020 model, the GA503 is nonetheless lighter and more compact, thanks to even smaller bezels.
The new ROG Zephyrus G15 is fronted by either a 165Hz QHD panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage or a 144Hz FHD panel with 100% sRGB coverage, representing a departure from the 2020 GA502. ASUS has also given the GA503 two new colors as well as a 20% larger touchpad to set it apart visually from its predecessor.
Another new feature is the incorporation of six speakers with two tweeters and four woofers to produce immersive surround sound.
Alongside the Zephyrus G15, ASUS also refreshed the ROG Strix G15, Strix G17, Strix SCAR 15, Strix SCAR 17, Flow X13, Zephyrus G14, and Zephyrus Duo 15 SE at CES 2021.

Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 is one of the best gaming laptops that you can buy. It's tough to live up to its sibling's legacy with an 11-plus hour battery life. However, it's not as vibrant as the average premium gaming laptop. Plus, a webcam would be nice.
Pros
  • Great gaming performance
  • Bright, colorful display
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Poor webcam
  • Poor battery life

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Asus uses the weakest version of the RTX 3080 laptop GPU that has an 80-watt TDP (100 watts including Dynamic Boost) The low TDP has a correspondingly negative impact on performance. As long as you limit yourself to the native resolution, the Zephyrus G15 delivers very good performance in games.
Pros
  • High-quality aluminum case
  • Long battery life
  • Good performance
  • Good keyboard
Cons
  • Low color space coverage
  • No G-Sync
  • No Thunderbolt 3

Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 puts out a much greater level of performance for not a whole lot more money. The vents for the laptop are predominantly along the top and with one each on either side to help bleed some of the heat off your lap from all that ray traced Lady Dimitrescu. The microphone is fantastic, with different sound profiles like omnidirectional and cartoid for streaming, recording a lecture, or in-game chat.
Pros
  • Top-notch gaming performance
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Excellent webcam
Cons
  • No webcam
  • No webcam

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from theverge have found:
The G15 is one of the longest-lasting gaming laptops we've ever seen. It has a large 90Wh battery inside, but plenty of gaming rigs can only make it a few hours on a charge. The touchpad is massive, at 5.1 x 3.4 inches — 20 percent larger than that of the prior G15 generation.
Pros
  • Gorgeous design
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent keyboard and touchpad
Cons
  • No webcam
  • No webcam
