laptopmag[1]
Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Asus ROG Swift PG43UQ boasts two 10W speakers that are decently loud when playing music, but can be frustratingly quiet during dialogue in video games. Sound effects like punches, web-swinging and even the background music sounded decent, but the speakers leaned into bassy and electronic beats more than anything else. The screen is incredibly vivid, covering 90.61% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, but it couldn't keep up with its competition.
Pros
- Sharp 144Hz refresh rate
- Excellent color accuracy
- Good audio settings
Cons
- Unbalanced text response
- Loud speakers

Reviewer score 91% (normalized by Neofiliac)The ROG Swift PG43UQ delivers killer HDR with some of the best contrast we've seen outside of a monitor with a FALD backlight. With Dynamic Dimming on, we had no issues with fatigue playing Call of Duty: WWII. The effect of a 43-inch screen viewed from about 4 feet cannot be overstated.
Pros
- HDR and SDR performance
- Excellent contrast
- Bright, accurate color
Cons
- No Dolby Vision or HDR
