Product Overview
Samsung HW-T650 is a 3.1-channel soundbar with a wireless subwoofer. Compared to similarly-designed HW-T550, it adds two center channel speakers as well as digital surround processing such as DTS Digital Surround and Dolby Digital 5.1.
Unlike higher-spec'd models in the Q-series, the HW-T650 loses Atmos support, opting for a more traditional setup without up-firing speakers. Compared to the more simplistic S-series soundbars, it adds a separate, wireless subwoofer.
The HW-T650 can be paired with Samsung's SWA-8500S wireless rear speakers to create a 5.1-channel setup.

Its balanced, neutral sound profile is suitable for listening to most types of audio content. Unfortunately, it has to downmix surround content to stereo, which doesn't provide the most immersive movie-watching experience. Movie fans may also be disappointed by the fact that it doesn't support Atmos content.
