Product Overview
ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 15 G532 is a premium gaming laptop that features up to Intel Core i9-10980HK processor and NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER graphics. Despite its powerful credentials, the ROG Strix SCAR 15 is only a mid-level option in ASUS ROG's 2020 gaming lineup.
Like its predecessor, the SCAR 15 G532 comes in a compact chassis with extensive RGB lighting support. New in the G532 is the 300Hz / 3ms IPS panel that, when paired with the newly-available RTX 2080 SUPER graphics, can deliver extremely smooth visual experience in games. Up to 32GB DDR4-3200MHz memories and dual M.2 SSD running in RAID0, again new to the G532, minimizes lag. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 are also newly available.
For those who demand a larger display, ASUS also offers the ROG Strix SCAR 17 that shares much of the same features with the SCAR 15.
For a slightly tuned-down version, ASUS markets the ROG Strix G15 and G17. The ROG Zephyrus S15 and S17 are ultra-portable options that do not sacrifice on performance. The Zephyrus M15 is a tuned-down version of the Zephyrus S15. The flagship this year is the Zephyrus Duo 15 that comes with dual 4K displays.
ASUS also markets AMD-powered Zephyrus G14 and G15 for those that prefer the red team.

External Reviews
notebookcheck[1]
Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)The G532 sits comfortably in between the smaller Zephyrus S GX531 and larger ROG G703 series. The virtual NumPad on the G531 makes a return, but it's more of a novelty and users who rely on having a NumPad will be better off with a dedicated USB solution.
Pros
- Long battery life
- Good keyboard and touchpad
- Good color space coverage
Cons
- No dedicated NumPad

For thermal efficiency, you can customize the fans setting via the Armoury Crate app, giving you the option to set them to Windows, Silent, Turbo, Performance or Manual.
Pros
- Powerful gaming performance
- Good battery life
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons
- Trackpad can get hot
