Product Overview
SIGMA 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary lens is one of four compact prime lenses designed to excel at both stills and video for the full-frame Sony E-mount and Leica L-mount systems.
Designated as the "I" series, the new series of compact lenses feature a gorgeous all-metal design that optimizes the manual focus experience in autofocus lenses. Each comes with an aluminum lens cap and petal-type lens hood.
Despite their compact sizes, these lenses are designed to minimize optical aberrations, with the only tradeoff being the moderate maximum aperture. Still, SIGMA designed these lenses to deliver sharp images wide open.
The three other lenses in this new series include the 24mm F3.5 DG DN, 45mm F2.8 DG DN, and 65mm F2 DG DN lenses.

It covers three customary focal lengths (24/28/35mm) in bright f2 bright light. It has relatively little vetting and only little longitudinal CAs and moderate coma. The build-quality shows Sigma's claim to have developed a lens to professional standards.

Autofocus is fast and quiet, but focus breathing is visible. It's not impeccably sharp, but manages good resolution wide open.

It has the softest background blur, best bokeh balls, best natural color rendition, best build quality. The lens has no issues with the 61Mpix and is resolving an incredible amount of detail while not being harsh for the skins.
