Product Overview

HP Pavilion 14 (14t-dv000) is an affordable thin and light laptop powered by 11th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with optional touch screen.
Like other HP Pavilion models, the Pavilion 14 caters to price-sensitive consumers while retaining some of the powerful features found in more upscale models. For example, NVMe M.2 SSD and WiFi 6, which used to be exclusive to high-end models, have trickled down to the Pavilion 14.
For those who prefers a 2-in-1 convertible, HP offers the Pavilion x360 14. There are also 13-inch and 15-inch models (Intel-powered and AMD-powered) in the 2020 HP Pavilion series.

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The HP Pavilion 14t has a basic two-fan cooling setup and does a solid job of keeping things below our 95-degree Fahrenheit comfort threshold for the most part. The laptop did well on our tests, starting with Geekbench 5.0, an overall performance benchmark scoring 4,541. The HP pavilion 14t comes with a 1-year hardware warranty with 90-days of phone support.
Pros
  • Sleek, stylish design
  • Solid performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 44% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Pavilion 14 can only fully utilise its Turbo Boost in single-core tasks. Despite the limited use of its turbo, the Pavilion 14 overtakes older Core i7-8565U-powered laptops. The built-in SSD meets our expectations for a 1,000-Euro (~$1,109) multimedia laptop.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Good input devices
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Low-end GPU
  • No Thunderbolt 3

techadvisor[3]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
The HP Pavilion 14 costs £549.99 and is available to buy directly from the HP Store and Currys PC World. The model I reviewed offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor (the latest 11th-gen) Although this is the lowest rung of Intel processors, the laptop was quick to start up and wasn't overwhelmed at any point over weeks of use. It's a silent workhorse that didn't overheat, no matter what I threw at it.
Pros
  • Powerful Core i5 processor
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Dim display
